No human-triggered or naturally triggered avalanches have been reported or observed over the past 24 hours.                                                                                                                                                                        Another day of settled weather for the region before more snow is forecasted later in the week, with forecasted levels to around 1200m.  Winds will swing from the North West to the South as this next front approached the region. Firm conditions are returning  to the mountain, general caution required as the terrain above 1300m is steep and unforgiving.

A consolidating snowpack with a period of settled weather sees a strengthening snow structure, this includes the bond to the old snow surface.   Conditions are returning to a firm snow surface, which has reduced the availability of snow for wind transport.  This last storm and the cold temperatures have seen most slopes above 1400m reach slope threshold and remain with reasonable snow depth.
