AVYCAST
For questions, feedback, or bug reports, email support@avycast.app. We usually reply within 48 hours.
Avycast aggregates bulletins from official regional avalanche warning services — EAWS across Europe, Avalanche Canada, CAIC in the United States, NZAA in New Zealand, SAIS in Scotland, JAN in Japan, and others. We fetch the raw data server-side and display it in a unified interface. Avycast does not generate its own forecasts.
21 countries at launch: Italy, Austria, Switzerland, France, Slovenia, Spain (including the Catalan Pyrenees), Andorra, Germany (Bavaria), Norway, Sweden, Finland, Scotland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Romania, Georgia, Japan, Canada, USA, Argentina, and New Zealand. We expand coverage over time.
Avycast refreshes bulletins automatically according to each source's publication schedule. Most European EAWS bulletins update once per day in the late afternoon local time. North American sources typically update once per day during the avalanche season.
Free users can view one region per day. Switching to a different region triggers a 24-hour cooldown. A monthly subscription removes this limit and unlocks unlimited region switching.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. To cancel:
Your access remains active until the end of the current billing period.
Location permission is optional. If you grant it, Avycast uses your coarse coordinates to find the avalanche region closest to you on launch. You can also search for regions manually — the app works fully without location access. Your location is never stored on our servers.
11 languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Georgian, Norwegian, Romanian, Russian, Swedish, and Czech. The app detects your device language automatically.
You can delete your account directly from within the app:
If you are unable to access the in-app flow, email support@avycast.app from the address associated with your account and we will delete it within 30 days.
Note: deleting your account does not cancel an active Apple subscription. If you have a paid subscription and want billing to stop, cancel it separately in your Apple ID Account Settings using the steps in the "How do I cancel my subscription?" section above.
Avycast is not a substitute for professional avalanche training, a qualified mountain guide, or your own judgement. The bulletins shown in the app are official forecasts published by regional warning services. Conditions can change rapidly, local variations are significant, and any backcountry activity involves real risk. Always get formal avalanche education, carry rescue equipment (transceiver, shovel, probe), travel with experienced partners, and make your own terrain decisions based on the full picture.
