Observed Weather Influences: It was a dry day with very strong South-South-Westerly winds. After a cold start the freezing level rose to around summit level in the afternoon. ObservedSnowStability: Areas of unstable windslab persist mainly on North-West through North to East aspects above 1000 metres. Elsewhere the snowpack is slowly consolidating and stability is better. Cornices are prone to collapse. The avalanche hazard is Considerable.
