Beware of triggering wind slabs on extremely steep slopes just below the ridge or branch ridges that remain at higher elevations where bonding is difficult to proceed. Numerous "terrain traps" such as rocks and gullies are exposed where even small avalanches and slides can cause extensive damage. Be careful of crashing into rocks that are thinly hidden by the snowpack. Be careful not to step over snow shelters or gully. This is the last avalanche bulletin for Tateyama. We would like to thank everyone who provided us with this information. In December, the Avalanche Network will hold a free safety seminar "Avalanche Night". We hope you will join us.

Yesterday (29th), there were a few reports of small-scale snow cover collapses observed on steep downwind slopes. No new snowfall since yesterday, but wind-driven snow movement was observed in the higher elevation zones. According to the Toyama District Meteorological Observatory of the Japan Meteorological Agency, the 30th is expected to be sunny due to high pressure, while the forecast for December 1 is cloudy with occasional rain before noon and thunderstorms from morning to early evening due to a cold front passing through the Hokuriku region.

The wind-driven snowfall up to the 29th was on top of the old snow by about 40 cm in many places, and the settling is progressing and bonding is rising. On the steep southerly slopes, crusts are buried at the boundary of the snowfall caused by the stormy weather up to the 26th, but there is no information on bonding. In addition, the snow surface is crusting due to yesterday's solar radiation. There are no reports of weak layers from the middle to lower layers of snow cover.
