Conditions continue to represent a regular spring cycle with a melt-freeze cycle occurring. The freezing level will again rise to above 1000 meters today, and any overnight surface freeze will soften rapidly. Glide cracks continue to grow with failures observed over the weekend. Avoidance of terrain below these features is strongly suggested throughout spring. As snow coverage continues to decrease, hazards will appear, such as rocks and vegetation.

No new avalanche activity has been reported. Natural glide avalanches have been observed this week on multiple aspects up to size 2. The wind direction is forecast to change to a northerly flow during the day today and remain light to moderate. High clouds are expected for much of the day with periods of broken sunshine. Freezing levels will again rise to above 1000 meters as spring conditions continue.

A melt-freeze cycle continues across all aspects. Fluctuating freezing levels have made the upper pack moist, although layering can still be found in the mid and lower snowpack. Firm surface conditions in the morning are expected to soften during the day.
