LAST BERA OF THE 2025/2026 SEASON Spontaneous releases: Unlikely with a neve-type snow cover. Triggered releases: Unlikely. Others: Fragile cornices present locally on the upper slopes, fragile snow bridges, high torrent flows compared to previous years.

Snow cover: The altitude limit of the snow is very irregular with a increasingly discontinuous snowpack: snowfields or snow tongues still descend locally down to around 2000m but continuous snow cover is more likely above 2200/2400m in the north, 2500/2700m in the south, with still good accumulations in the combes and flat areas even if cols and ridges are often now snow-free. Snow quality: Dense snow similar to neve, often ochre in color due to surface desert dust.
